Tradition meets modern spirit.
For over 89 years the name Wiedemeyer stands for outstanding services in the field of logistics.
The range extends from standard transportations over special, heavy and tool transports
and the dismantling and reassembly of machines and plants to the storage and packaging of goods.
In 2008 Torsten Mühlhoff had created an informative website for the medium-sized company.
But since then many relevant paramters for a website have continued to develop – to mention 3 of them:
-
Different devices with different resolutions
-
New internet technologies
-
Increased expectations of the user
To address these and many other changes and to do justice to the own claim to combine tradition and modern spirit,
a website should be created which conveys these messages to the visitor.
Tradition is preserved progress,
progress is continued tradition.

Elements of the new website
Some content - in particular text blocks - were already present in the existing website.
One of the main tasks was to present these and newly created content areas on an appealing, modern way.
All existing media had been gathered, structured and prepared for the new presentation.
The data of many employees who are important contacts for the customer was collected and also consistent portraits were created.
Likewise, new pictures from the truck fleet as well as from parts of the company's premises were made.
Numerous details have been integrated into the website, which improve its overall quality – 3 examples:
-
On the detail page of an employee an electronic business card is created with the relevant data not only at your fingertips,
but also a portrait picture will be integrated (as a base64 encryption).
-
Wherever figures emphasize the many years of experience and tradition, there is a dynamic calculation for automatic update.
-
The menu for the "services" is a so-called "mega menu" which conveys not only text but visual impressions.
Also new flyers were created which present the service areas in a fresh and concise way and which are integrated in the respective pages (German only).

The website
Based on modern technologies such as "asp.net", "bootstrap" or "jquery" the new
website for the logistics service provider Wiedemeyer
was created.
